The group photograph was taken in 1979 when I was 17 years old and an apprentice lithographic artist at the Glasgow College of Building and Printing. I would return to the college 12 years later as a lecturer in digital pre press production for six years and then I moved to Glasgow Caledonian University to teach and research interactive media design. A few years ago I retired from teaching after 30 years and I also moved from my home in Scotland to Melbourne Australia to be with my partner. I have always taken photographs since I was shown how to develop and print by my secondary school teacher Mr Ken Palmer which led me to working in the printing industry. I now have a reprographics studio at our home which has allowed me to work with alternative photographic processes and printmaking techniques. I spend some of my time traveling with my partner across Australia and Asia whereby both of these places provide new images and memories.
